Ronin The Conqueror
Shire

Aliento Del Dia
Paso Fino

Aliento was rescued from a home that he had twisted around his little hooves. He was 7 years old and had never been ridden. He had also bee mistreated by a farrier to the point he was dangerous to trim his hind feet. He was adopted by the Treasurer of TEARS and lives at the rescue to teach the young horses hordey ettiquette!

Ronin came from the Pegasus Foundation along with Connor. He was deathly ill with strangles and even with veterinary care, he almost died. Then he got a bad upper respiatory. This guy took a long time to really glow. He stands 18.0hh and is used for dressage, jumping, trail, and driving! He was adopted by the founder along with Connor.

Cuddles came to TEARS through Southern California Thoroughbred Rescue from Saving Horses Inc. Cuddles was an add on by SHI and we were told he had to come with the pregnant mare we were asked to take... well, how could we say no? Cuddles was sponsored and ridden by TEARS Secretary for many years until he figured out how to unseat her every ride. Read more about where Cuddles is now under the tab Forever Home!

Connor came from Canada with Ronin. He too was sick with strangles, but it ever got him down. He also got the upper repiratory, but shook it off quickly. Connor has earned a 60.3 in a triple A rated show under a Gernman judge in dressage! He also jumps, sorts cows, is great on trail, and has Jousted! He was adopted with Ronin by the founder.

Since saving the first  horse in 1986, we have rehabilitated many equids into loving and wonderful partners. We have a track record of never having a horse returned for reasons other than financial... and we have only had 4 horses returned from 2 families in all these years. Here are some of the wonderful homes that have been accepted by our rescued horses.....
