Little Lou 31 yo OTTB

LouLou left us one Sunday morning in August 2015. She had colic and the vet came out and told us she wasn't a good candidate for surgery. We asked her if she wanted to go... she sighed and left us with a bit of assistance from the vet. We will miss her forever. She was a very special old lady.

I came to TEARS with Rumor. I was 24 years old, my gut hurt, my feet hurt, I was supposed to be pregnant, and I was about 300 lb underweight.

I couldn't even eat 1 entire flake of alfalfa. TEARS has an RVT on staff and she figured I had ulcers so I was put on special food and medicine.

The kind folks at TEARS immediately made me a forever horse so I wouldn't have to go through any more horrible conditions, have any more babies, and never be ridden again.

It took me years to settle in and heal all the mental and physical issues causing my ulcers. Now I am an essential part of the education team at TEARS. I teach folks that are scared to death of horses just how awesome we are.

I recently had my 30th birthday on Mother's day 2014. My picture you see here is from a week before my birthday!
