Athena 1 yo 1/2 Paint, 1/4 Andalusian, 1/4 Freisian

I was living with my mom Nighthawk Maiden on some property with no food. We were sent out into the neighborhood each evening to forage. My mom had almost no milk, so I learned to eat weeds. The folks at Auction Horse Rescue called TEARS and by working together, they bought us for $150.00, threw a halter on me (I had never been so insulted in all my 2.5 months of life!) and loaded us into a trailer headed for Ramona.

When we got there I was introduced to something I had never seen before... a bin with sweet green alfalfa! Fresh water in a bowl that was always full... and after a couple of days.. new foods showed up like apples, senior feed, grain, beet pulp, flax seed.... all sooooo yummy. My mom also started making more milk for me and boy was it good!

I was weaned and spent time away from my mom... I wasn't too worried and niether was she. I got to go to an inspection where I made enough points to become a registered American Warmblood with papers! Now I am taking time to grow up at foster across the street from my mom. I won't be available for adoption until I am 4 years old (unless under strict and special circumstances) and ready to go to a forever home.
