Ilona Chodnika

 

Ilona has always had a passion for horses and when she met Karina, the founder, the dream became real life. Ilona started with helping find the rescue a long term place to call home... her property In Ramona, CA.

 

Riding when she could, scooping poop most of the time, and generally enjoying the ability to just go to the rescue and be with horses became her life when not filling the role of super mom.

 

Ilona sponsored one of the rescues and Cuddles became her horse for a few years. Kid duties, husband duties, and going to farrier school all made it more and more difficult to actually ride, so Ilona allowed Cuddles to be put up for adoption and he found a forever home in 2013.

 

Ilona was the driving force behind TEARS becoming a 501c3 and shortly after all the paperwork was in, she was asked to be the Secretary.... she has been driving all our paperwork before and after her appointment... so it became official!

 

Ilona now owns her own business trimming horses and other needy hoof stock at Trimmed and Proper Mobile Hoof Trim Spa and continues to support the rescue when her schedule allows in addition to her duties as Secretary.
